Mobile substations supply power to the electrical equipment used to develop underground galleries. The equipment was designed to be robust and compact, in anticipation of underground movements. A sound knowledge of mining working methods guided the design of the substations down to the smallest detail. Recessed handles, skid design, lifting lugs, visual indicators, safety, handling as well as operation, every detail of use was carefully considered.
